Grammar Mistakes

Here are a few grammar mistakes I found online in public places. Like we discussed in class, it is amazing how often and how many grammar mistakes you can find in public! Enjoy :)

  1. Thanks for sharing these pictures. I agree that grammar mistakes are attractive, but not really in a positive way. In fact, one friend who studied Marketing once told me that many advertisements, such as the ones you're presenting, are purposely written "badly" to catch the eyes of their possible customers. If so, the marketing industry is making such a wonderful, but certainly confusing, job.

  2. I really hope marketing campaigns don't deliberately use grammar mistakes because that is painful. These were awesome, Keeley. Thank you for sharing them! The New York school example was especially painful.

  3. This kind of stuff drives me crazy. I was in a class last week and a group was giving a powerpoint presentation and they had a horribly misused apostrophe. I just wanted so bad to raise my hand and point it out to them, but I resisted.

  5. Luis, that's genius haha. That would be an interesting point to share with students to see what they thought.

  7. This is funny, but mostly disturbing. I can't help but get a little bit angry when I see grammar mistakes on signs posted in professional businesses.
